These six reproducible Resources, provide multiple opportunities for hands-on practice and application of skills, including "real-world" word problems.
Illustrated worksheets are designed with a manageable number of problems per sheet, allowing the focus to be on understanding and mastering each skill. Activities are appropriate for students of varying ability levels. Activities in Resources are appropriate for students of varying ability levels and learning styles.
BASIC MATH ASSESSMENTS
Reinforce critical basic math skills with these supplements in testprep format. Six reproducible books offer pre- and post-assessments focused on testing the skills covered in the Basic Math Practice Resources. Two leveled pre-assessments and two leveled post-assessments are provided for specific skills. Level A and Level B offer a variety of problems on the same skill. Each resource also contains benchmark assessments to allow the teacher to assess students in previously learned skills.
BASIC MATH WARM UPS
Provide quick math practice and review opportunities for struggling learners with these warm-up activities. Based on the popular BASIC MATH PRACTICE resources, BASIC MATH WARM-UPS offers repeated daily practice in the basic foundation of math concepts development, as identified by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Each book features 180 warm-ups, one for each day of the school year, which cover all of the objectives for each skill.
Number Concepts Includes over 160 activity sheets. Features a unit for each of the following: shapes, patterns, counting, greater than and less than, one-to-one correspondence, place value, and ordinal numbers.
Number Operations Includes over 190 activity sheets. Features a unit for each basic number operation. Units for addition and subtraction range from basic facts to regrouping three-digit numbers. Units for multiplication and division contain problems that teach basic facts. Activity sheets that feature a word problem are incorporated Throughout The Resource.
Measurement Five units with over 170 activity sheets cover customary linear measurement, weight, capacity, time, and temperature. Activities with many visual aids address nonstandard and standard units of measure and address relationships between units. Conversions are only covered when explaining this concept (e.g., length in inches is compared to feet but not yards).
Tables, Charts, And Graphs Seven units with over 140 activity sheets cover sorting; tables; bar, line, and circle graphs; pictographs; and charts. Reproducible blackline masters of tables, graphs, and charts are provided to allow the teacher to extend or reinforce concepts.
Rounding, Reasonableness, And Estimation Three units with over 100 activity sheets cover rounding whole numbers and money; reasonableness to find an appropriate solution, unit of measure, or monetary amount; and estimation of solutions, measurements, and monetary amounts. The rounding unit contains step-by-step flowcharts to aid students in rounding numbers.
Fractions, Decimals, And Percents Three units with over 225 activity sheets cover adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions (simple, mixed, and improper), decimals (numbers and monetary amounts), and percents (0-100%). Most activity sheets include rules, explanations, and examples to aid in students' understanding. The conversion among the three forms of integers is also addressed through multi-step processes and applied in "real-world" problems. The decimal unit contains step-by-step flowcharts to aid students in rounding numbers to the ones, tenths, and hundredths places.
Each Resource Includes Over 100 reproducible Activity Sheets, Parent/Guardian Letter, Teaching Instructions, Research and Standards, a Progress Chart, Assessments, Answer Keys, and more.
