Working With Numbers

In this sequential and comprehensive program students learn skills step-by-step using real-life problems for practice. Abundant worktext exercises ensure skill mastery and provide a daily indicator of progress while guided, regular and mixed practice exercises reinforce each lesson. Brief lessons are straightforward and presented on a single page or two facing pages making them ideal for independent study and instruction. Unit reviews, mixed practice and final review tests are used to maintain skills throughout the program. LEVEL A
Beginning math skills- counting,numbering, place value, identifying shapes, number recognition, time and money, basic addition and subtraction.

Review and reteaching of previous skills emphasizing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers; division with larger whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Extends fraction and decimal skills; introduces customary and metric measurements, and geometric formulas with practical math applications.

ALGEBRA
Formulas, integers, exponents, polynomials, functions, graphs,
inequalities, factoring, quadratic equation, problem solving.

REFRESHER
Whole number computation, fractions, decimals, percents, algebra
skills, geometry, measurement, problem-solving skills.
